Movember update

For those of you following along, I started growing a mustache 16 days ago. Some of you may think this is silly and it is but it's also for a good cause. As you may recall from an earlier post this was for a great group called MOVEMBER.

I'm only half way through the month and trying to raise money for Cancer awareness and research in memory of Mandy's Father and Grandfather("Papa") both of whom lost their battles with the disease.

Cohen's changing table is just taking up space in his room. We never use it for changing so I thought I'd reassign it's duties. One day I put all of Cohen's stuffed animals on the top shelf. Several minutes later I went back into Cohen's room and found this...

I'm trying to figure something else out.

Movember participation

This weekend I decided to use my natural facial hair growing abilities by joining a friend's group for MOVEMBER. This month, the month formally known as November, I will be growing a mustache and I am hoping that you will support my efforts by making a donation. The funds raised go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LIVESTRONG).

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation will use the money raised by Movember to fund research to find better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation will use the money raised by Movember to fund:

• The LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance program which has the goal of improving survival rates and quality of life for young adults with cancer between the ages of 15 and 40.
• Research initiatives to further understand the biology of adolescent and young adult cancers.
